RAR from RARLAB is a comprehensive, original, free, and user-friendly program that serves as a versatile tool for compression, archiving, backup, extraction, and even basic file management.

This tool can create RAR and ZIP archives while also extracting files from various formats such as RAR, ZIP, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, 7z, ISO, and ARJ. Its functionality includes a repair feature for damaged ZIP and RAR files, a benchmark tool compatible with RARLAB's WinRAR benchmark, recovery records, standard and recovery volumes, encryption, and solid archives. Additionally, it efficiently utilizes multiple CPU cores for data compression.

In addition to working with conventional ZIP files, the unzip feature manages ZIP and ZIPX formats that utilize BZIP2, LZMA, PPMd, and XZ compression, including password-protected ZIP files. The unrar command is compatible with all versions of RAR archives, encompassing the latest RAR5 format, as well as password-protected and multipart files.

The file management capabilities comprise copying, deleting, moving, and renaming files and directories, as well as creating new folders and installing applications from APK packages.
